Sterling Accord Shower

One of our top selling items is what we call a “shower swap.” We just recently swapped a tired, cracked fiberglass tub shower unit with a gorgeous, new Sterling Accord shower unit in Deerfield, NH. The valve was replaced with a Delta Leland pressure balanced shower valve.

This Shower swap was a common scenario. The customer’s elderly parent was staying with them during the summer months. So we switched the unit from a tub to a shower unit to make the shower more accessible and installed solid backing behind the walls so we could install grab bars wherever the customer desired.

After we finished the project in one day, this very pleased customer told us he had received an estimate from Bathfitters. Our Price was $2200 for the one day shower replacement (we call it simply: shower swap), the competition estimated $6000 to cover over the existing shower unit! We can’t imagine covering over the unit that was there, it was cracked with absolutely no support underneath. We set our Vikrell Sterling Accord Shower unit firmly over newly installed 3/4″ plywood in a bed of mortar that we spread. That is why we always say: “Don’t cover it up!”
